History of the Company

1932
Established as Nippon Carburetor Co., Ltd. in February with capital of 40,000 yen, the first carburetor factory in Japan.
1933
Development of carburetors for automobile and aircraft engines.
1946
Development of carburetors and fuel pumps for automobile and agricultural engines.
1952
Increased the capital to 20 million yen in March.
1956
Development of a two-stage, two-barrel carburetor for automobiles.
1960
Increased the capital to 50 million yen in January and to 100 million yen in October. Opened a branch in Nagoya in January and in Hiroshima in April.
1961
Completed the Headquarters factory in July. Increased the capital to 150 million yen in August.
Started over the counter trade of stock at second section of Tokyo Stock Exchange.
1962
Increased the capital to 250 million yen in March.
1963
Development of an LPG carburetion system for automobiles. Purchased land for a factory in Atsugi, Kanagawa.
1964
Increased the capital to 500 million yen in December. Development of a two-stage, four-barrel carburetor.
1967
Built the Atsugi factory and started operation from September.
1968
Established a business alliance with Hitachi, Ltd.
1969
Development of a two-stage, four-barrel carburetor for rotary engines.
1972
Participated in a research association for automobile safety and pollution prevention technologies with Hitachi.
1973
Development of a carburetor to meet automobile air pollution regulations.
1981
Started export of carburetors for general purpose engines to America.
1982
Development of an electronically controlled carburetor for automobiles and a throttle body for automobiles
1984
Development of an electronic fuel injection system for automobiles.
1985
Development of a power valve for automobiles. Development of an outboard marine carburetor.
1986
Development of an LPG feedback system for automobiles.
Development of an electronic governor for forklifts.
1987
Development of electronic control units for automobile engines.
1988
Merged the Shinagawa factory with the Atsugi factory in May.
1989
Established Nikki Techno Co., Ltd. in October.
1991
Development of a compressed natural gas fuel system
1994
Moved the Headquarters to Atsugi in October.
1995
Established Shenyang Rixin Carburetor Corporation in China.
1998
Obtained ISO 9001 certification.
Established Nikki America, Inc. in Illinois, America.
2000
Obtained QS 9000 certification.
Established Changzhou Guangri Precision Machinery Co., Ltd. in China.
2001
Changed the name of the company to Nikki Co., Ltd.
Development of an LPG gas fuel injection system in December
2002
Obtained ISO 14001 certification.
Opened a liaison office in Korea in April.
2003
Opened a liaison office in Shanghai in April.
2004
Established Nikki Soltech Co., Ltd. in May.
2005
Established Nikki Korea Co., Ltd. in June.
Established Nikki America Fuel Systems, LLC. in Alabama, USA in November.
2006
Production of electric fuel injection system for general engine.
2007
Established LPG gas station at Headquarter's premises.
Held the 75th of foundation anniversary ceremony.
Obtained ISO/TS 16949:2002 certification.
